As you may have seen, the Year of Compassion team is sponsoring an evening with Lisa Napoli, currently a culture reporter for KCRW. In 2007 Lisa took advantage of an opportunity to travel to Bhutan to assist in the growth of a relatively new, youth-based radio station that was set up to help the transition for Bhutan from a monarchy to a democracy. She chronicles her trips to Bhutan and her personal growth in her book Radio Shangri-La: What I Discovered on my Accidental Journey to the Happiest Kingdom on Earth, which is a wonderful read, (and which is now out in paperback.)
Lisa will speak about these experiences at All Saints this Monday evening, May 14. The evening will begin at 7:00pm in the Upper Parish Hall with a Bhutanese style meal.
Lisa is an engaging speaker, full of warmth and wit, and I hope you will come and bring a friend. You can register at www.allsaintsbh.org/register.
With hopes of seeing you on Monday,
Kerrin Clark Pulis
